G. Nikitaa class VII student of Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav Sr. Sec. School, Arumbakkam, Chennai, won Second Place in the finals of 14th SOF-National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) competition (in the Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry Zone). She was rewarded a Gold medal, cheque of INR 5000 & gift hampers worth INR 1000. She also secured 3rd Rank Zonal (Overall) in the FIIT-JEE Talent Reward Examination (FTRE) 2015 Zonal-level competition. And First Place in Zonal-level Mathematics competition conducted by the FIIT-JEE (Forum for Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination, a coaching institute.
Banu G. Aswin, a UKG student of SBOA School & Junior College in Anna Nagar West, Chennai, participated in the 14th Padma Bhushan Lady Andal Memorial Interschool Swimming Meet in Chennai on the 22nd and 23rd of July, 2015, She won the Bronze Medal in 25-metre Freestyle in the 17th State Level Swimming Meet held in Virudhunagar on the 24th of January 2015. She won the Gold Medal in 25-metre Butterfly Stroke and the Bronze Medal in 25-metre Breaststroke swimming events in the 13th Padma Bhushan Lady Andal Memorial Interschool Swimming Meet held in Chennai on the 23rd and 25th of July, 2014.
Samyuktha P.A. is a Class IX student of SBOA School and Junior College, Chennai. She started the sport of quad skating when she was 4 years old. She joined the game to recover from her asthma complaint. On health grounds, she showed a good improvement and started doing very well in this sport. Samyuktha received her first Bronze Medal in 2005 in Chennai District Roller Skating Competition. Her level reached higher and higher and she received her first national-level medal in 2010. In the national-level roller skating competition conducted by the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) at Virar (West), Mumbai, from 21-26 January 2015, she won the Bronze Medal in Road Event. In the event conducted by Tamil Nadu Roller Skating Association from 30 November to 2 December 2014, at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai, she won the Individual State Championship with 3 Gold Medals in Roller Skating and thereby qualified for the national-level roller skating event.
Tanishka Deshpande at the age 12 won four titles at recently concluded sub-junior badminton championship. The determination, grit and hard work that she puts in to win a title proves her passion for the game. I had set a couple of goals for myself this year and winning the sub-junior title was one of them, said Deshpande, who won the single and doubles title in two categories—under-13 and under-15. Her performance at this tournament has helped her book her place in the sub-junior team for the state championship. She does not shy away from talking about the hard work, the sleepless night that she has spent, thinking about the tournament. Deshpande picked up the racquet at the age of nine. Her family feels that the credit goes to her senior coach Vivek Joshi, who transformed her into a better badminton player.

been working as a farmhand during his holidays to earn money to pay
for his education. Today, the 18-yearold has been admitted to an undergraduate course at National Law School University of India (NLSUI)
after getting 42nd rank in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). His father, a marginal farmer, often drove a truck to make ends meet, while his mother is illiterate. Poverty should not be a reason to give up studies, he said. If you want to achieve something in life, you have to work hard. I plan to take up a part time job during my vacation in Bengaluru to cover my personal expenses, he added. He scored CGPA 10 in the Class 10 CBSE board exams and 94.6% in Class 12. In 2014, Anil passed the IIT JEE Advanced, and was ranked 1, 250 in CLAT, which got him a seat in NLSUI, Guwahati. But his dream was to pursue law in NLSUI, Bengaluru.
